Last chance for Greenham Common guided walk
BY BUZZ

Enjoy guided walks across Greenham and Crookham Commons this month, courtesy of the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust.
Every Saturday, you can find out how the local wildlife has coped with the unusual weather and see the success stories from this year’s nesting season before the birds leave to start their own families. These free walks will be lead by wardens from 10am to 12 noon.
Every walk is unique, explains warden Louise Floyd, “It’s brilliant leading walks at Greenham Common because there’s something for everyone, whether you like birds, plants, insects, history or simply enjoying the scenery.”
Warden and photographer Amy Denness says “The ringed plover chicks have been putting on a great show during our guided walks. It’s very special seeing people’s faces light up when they spot a cute, fluffy chick for the first time.”
This is the third year that BBOWT, working in partnership with West Berkshire Council, has employed seasonal wardens on the Commons as part of the West Berkshire Living Landscape project.
