Grieg’s Piano Concerto @ St Bartholomew's School
Sep 27 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

The Piano Concerto in A Minor by Edvard Grieg is among the most popular piano works of the last 150 years. It has been performed by world famous pianists as far back as Franz Liszt up to the present day including Lang Lang and we are lucky enough to have Oliver Williams who is a talented local pianist as our soloist.

At St Bartholomew’s School Hall in Newbury on the 27th September 2014 at 7.30 pm it will receive it’s first performance with a Brass Band accompaniment. The transcription of the orchestral accompaniment has been written by Michael Hutton.

This will be performed by the Aldbourne Band one of the finest in the south of England whose conductor David Johnson will direct the first half of the concert. After the interval the Piano Concerto will be conducted by myself (Michael Hutton) then David will complete the evening with a rousing finale.
