Newbury Embroiderers’ Guild will be displaying a new project entitled ‘Music in Stitches’ at the restaurant of the Watermill Theatre in Bagnor during their production of the musical ‘Witches of Eastwick’ July 25th to August 24th.
Members were asked to choose a favourite piece of music and interpret it in stitch. All kinds of music are included: classical, jazz, folk songs, ballads, hymns, rock and music from the shows.
Many different techniques have been used: machine embroidery, gold work, laminating, bonding, beading, applique, photo transfer and hand stitching.
