Local residents to take on Motoscape Rally

Jez and Jo Stow, from www.thechillifarm.co.uk, have chosen to take on the Motoscape Rally Challenge 2013 in aid of Help for Heroes. Starting on Saturday 7 September, they shall attempt to cover 13 countries in a 46 year old MGB, without the aid of SatNav or the breakdown services.

Highlights such as the Nurburgring, the Stelvio Pass and navigating the mountain roads of Slovenia are included in the route, along with Venice and Prague.

Jo stow; one of the challengers, stated, “The car is 46 years old, although we restored it a few years ago. We’ve been on a number of European trips, but the Motoscape Rally looks like a real adventure as well as being an opportunity to raise money for charity. We’ve chosen Help for Heroes, as it’s particularly relevant in our local area. I just hope we make it without too many dramas or breakdowns, old cars can be temperamental”.
