Highclere country pub to reopen its doors
The Yew Tree Inn at Highclere is set to reopen its doors at the end of this week following an extensive refurbishment.
The 17th Century country pub now boasts eight cosy bedrooms and a restyled fine dining restaurant which brings it back to its roots with original flagstone floors, quirky country pursuit accessories and roaring log fires.
Head chef Simon Davis has been influenced by a number of highly rated chefs since he was fifteen into pursuing his career. From running the kitchen with Simon Gueller during a three year stint at the Michelin starred Box Tree, to opening the Highwayman alongside Nigel Haworth, the second of his highly acclaimed Ribble Valley Inns. Simon’s passion for great British food has helped him to refine the British pub menu at The Yew Tree Inn.
With the help of his partner Tori Sambrook, the Yew Tree Inn hope to make a welcoming and friendly restaurant for customers with exceptional food and professional service to suit a whole array of occasions.
