Explosive Result for West Berkshire Mencap and the Fire Fighters Charity

On Friday 1st May four local Zumba instructors held a Zumbathon in aid of West Berkshire Mencap and The Fire Fighters Charity. This energetic fundraising event, which the four instructors worked so hard to organise, raised an amazing £745.50 which will be split between the two charities. The event had over 60 kind supporters come and shimmy their way through two hours of Zumba to support these worthy charities.

Carrie-Anne Ferrie, Fundraising Manager of West Berkshire Mencap, said “The Zumbathon was such a wonderful success, and we are very grateful to Neil, Agnes, Abby and Rachel for organising and running this event in aid of us, and all the lovely attendees who took part. A big pat on the back has to also go to the Fire Fighters themselves who came along and took part, including their own special routine at the front of the class, which included surprise press ups! A special thank you to Laura from Adam Hillier Photography for kindly taking photos of the event for us, and Nuffield Health and Fitness for generously continuing to let us use their hall.”
