Toby Buckland, horticulturist, writer and TV presenter, is pleased to announce a brand new and exciting two day gardening event at Wiltshire’s Bowood House and Gardens this summer.
Following the continuing success of Toby Bucklands’s popular, annual garden festival at Powderham Castle, Devon, he is delighted to offer a second, new festival, at Bowood House and Gardens, Wiltshire on 5th and 6th June 2015. The first event of its kind on the estate, the festival will be celebrating gardening throughout the Cotswolds.
“Bowood House sits at the centre of a region with a proud horticultural heritage, that’s home to dozens of the best nurseries in Britain” says Toby. “I’m thrilled to be bringing them together especially in early summer when plants are building up to their peak and gardeners are keen to get their green fingers in the soil. “
Lord Lansdowne commented, “In 2015, we will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of Bowood House and Gardens opening to the public. In mirroring the glories of Bowood that have attracted over four million visitors to this particular Wiltshire jewel since 1975, June’s Garden Festival will be a most befitting highlight within Bowood’s 2015 calendar of events. The festival will be a summer ‘must’ not just for garden and countryside lovers living locally but will also encourage many others from across the country and abroad to head to Wiltshire for a very special English experience.”
‘Toby Buckland’s Garden Festival at Bowood’ is the perfect opportunity to bring together enthusiastic gardeners, inspirational speakers and exceptional plants-people to an event alive with music, entertainment and a warm inclusive atmosphere – a uniquely spectacular show in one of the most beautiful settings in England.”
Bring the family along with a picnic and enjoy the live music, family gardening activities, craft and food tents to explore and even ‘The art of croquet’ lessons on the lawn.
