We are pleased to announce our annual event The Rookwood Garden & Gift Fair 2015. This will be on Thursday 23rd April 2015 from 10.00am – 4.00pm. This year’s chosen charity is Brighter Futures Radiotherapy Appeal – Tracy’s Journey who are raising funds to equip a Radiotherapy Department for Swindon Hospital, which does not currently have one.

This is the perfect opportunity for plantaholics to find and buy some unusual plants. Of the 15 Nurseries attending, several are Chelsea Medalists, including Edulis and Heucheraholics.  Phoenix plants and Palms & Exotics will also be offering their unusual plants.

We will once again have a wide selection of gift stalls sporting a range of clothing, shoes and original gifts. There will be food stalls with local produce and garden accessories.

We are delighted to welcome internationally acclaimed Michelin Star chef John Campbell who will perform a cookery demonstration. There will be two demonstrations the first at 10.30am and the other at 2.00pm. John will show you how to get the most out of your seasonal ingredients and also give you some fantastic culinary tips. The kitchen for the demonstration which is kindly being donated by Ben Heath of Newbury will be put up for silent auction at the event.

We would like to thank our main sponsors Knight Frank, NFU Insurance of Hungerford, and Buzz magazine for their support and many other local companies and volunteers who have helped make this a real community effort.

Tickets for the cooking demonstration are £10 and admission for the plant fair is £5 or they can be bought on line from www.rookwoodgardenfair.co.uk and parking is free. Charlotte’s renowned homemade lunches teas, cakes and scones will be available throughout the day.
