The Racecourse Newbury is over 100 years old and as such combines heritage with everything a modern sporting and events venue can offer.

Celebrating the work of the UK armed forces with a great British day out at the races, The Racecourse Newbury’s Armed Forces Raceday on Saturday 25 October promises a day of family entertainment and quality action on the track.

Alongside no fewer than seven exhilarating Flat races, The Racecourse is playing host to an armed forces extravaganza with interactive military displays and demonstrations, laser clay pigeon shooting and much more.

The day will begin with the launch of the Royal British Legion Berkshire Poppy Appeal and on the track, Newbury will be bidding a fond farewell to the Flat season, with a race card featuring the Group 3 Worthington’s Whizz Kids Stakes and the Group 3 Worthington’s Champion Shield Stakes.

After the action there will be a sing-along with a marching band, topping off a fun family day out, with free entry for under 18s.
