Majenta was formulated by Jayne Lyons, who had noticed a distinct gap in the beauty and makeup industry for a product range that was innovative and colourful.

As the founder of Majenta, her knowledge has come from her vast professional and retail experience. This includes owning her own hair and beauty salons; delivering large training seminars in hair and beauty; writing numerous articles for professional and glossy magazines; being a resident make-up artist on television; as well as a beauty consultant.

Jayne has travelled abroad with her work, and formulated Majenta as a high quality product range that can identify with a customer base globally. The products are distinctive, innovative, and affordable with an emphasis on quality, inspiration and fun.

In 2013, her eldest daughter Laura-Jane joined the Marketing Team after her involvement in the hair and beauty industry. Her background in Business and Marketing from university has encouraged LJ to work alongside her mother to increase an understanding of Majenta with the consumer and professional market.

Majenta is run by a mother and daughter, who when you meet them you quickly appreciate that it is because they are also best friends that they work so well together. Their passion for the range is apparent in their enthusiasm for the industry, and they certainly spend a lot of time laughing and smiling together (with the odd slice of cake!).

Majenta now has an online store, with several stockists throughout the UK, and the brand will continue to expand both nationally and internationally. The products have been seen in glossy magazine; on blogs; through online exposure; on catwalk shows; and within photo-shoots.

At the beginning of 2014, Majenta’s desire to promote an understanding of makeup within the consumer. There is specific acknowledgement of young adults, brides and those looking for employment.
