Coras 2013 pre-event

Coras 2013 is continuing to attract interest from businesses since its launch in November 2012.

The business event organised by local business owner Shawn Khorassani (pictured far left at Coras 2013 pre-event), aims to identify a budding start-up business to support through 10k cash injections and one year’s free mentoring.

The event has attracted the attention of local applicants and local sponsors who are keen to become involved with the new initiative.

Mr Khorassani commented on the response “I am overwhelmed by the support I have received from local companies who are working with me to ensure the event’s success. In return they are raising their own profiles in the local community.”

The winner will be announced at a red carpet business event on Thursday 2 May at the Hilton Centre, Newbury. Partners of the event have already been announced and include Education Business Partnership West Berkshire, Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce and Arsenal Football Club.

Local MP Richard Benyon has shown his support for the event, “West Berkshire is one of the best places in Britain to set up and run a business. Coras is a superb initiative which will encourage local entrepreneurs to develop their dreams.”
