“Pub Walks near Hungerford” good read giveaway

COMPETITION CLOSED
As the weather gradually heats up and beer gardens become more popular, it is the perfect time to go for a long walk in the countryside and we have some beautiful walks in the West Berkshire area. If you are looking for inspiration then local author Alex Milne-White has collated some of his favourite walks near Hungerford in his latest book.
In this book, Alex Milne-White brings together a collection of walks that begin in Hungerford or within five miles of the idyllic Berkshire town.
All of the walks start, finish or include a pub along the way and distances vary between 3 to 7 miles.
The area covered in this book includes some beautiful countryside, varied terrain and many picturesque villages, making for some excellent walks. There are also a surprising number of good pubs to satisfy the walker’s thirst or hunger. There is wildlife to look out for too, in particular Red Kites have made this area their home, so keep an eye out for them gliding above the fields on your travels.
Alex Milne-White has lived in Hungerford for five years and owns and runs The Hungerford Bookshop with his wife.
Available from The Hungerford Bookshop www.hungerfordbookshop.co.uk, The White Horse Bookshop and Waterstone’s Newbury.
