Success at Bag-athon event
BY BUZZ

Over 180 bags were collected at Broad Street Mall, Reading, following their Great British Bag-athon event which began on Tuesday 28 August in aid of the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
The bags, which were filled with donated items by the local community, could amount to £3,760 for the charity. The items, which included DVDs, toys and clothing, will now go to BHF shops in the Reading area to help the UK’s heart charity continue its lifesaving work.
Steve Fawke, Centre Manager at Broad Street Mall commented “Thanks to all the Reading community who took part in the Bag-athon Challenge. It really will make an enormous difference to the thousands of people in our region who suffer from heart disease.”
People can still contribute to the Bag-athon challenge by taking their bags to a local BHF shop. For more information go to http://www.bhf.org.uk/shop/bag-athon.aspx
