Countdown to Christmas at John Lewis
BY BUZZ

John Lewis is joining in on the festivities with the installation of their new Winter Wonderland Pop-Up Shop and in-store decorations.
The shop in Parkway, Newbury, has introduced five key themes to their Christmas ranges which should appeal to every customer’s taste. Themes include ‘Lapland’, the Nordic inspired ‘Winterland’, ‘Christmas Holiday’ which takes nostalgic inspiration from the 1950s, the ‘Theatre’ theme taking glamour and style from the 1920s, and ‘Japan’ which has grown out of the contemporary New Japan homeware trend.
Dominic Joyce, branch manager of John Lewis at home Newbury, says “This year’s decorations mark the start of the festive season and help to create the magic of Christmas in John Lewis at home Newbury. Our Winter Wonderland Pop-Up Shop with its assortment of decorations, trees and crackers is helping to bring the spirit of Christmas to the high-street.”
He adds “This is an important time for the shop as we’ve just finished major work on the store in Newbury including our newly expanded Nursery department and our Furniture and Beds department to offer more choice and variety to customers.”
Tracey Kirby, visual merchandising Manager at John Lewis at home Newbury, says “This is my first Christmas at John Lewis and I’ve been really looking forward to dressing the shop for the festive season. My favourite theme this year is Winterland as it really compliments the idea of what happens to natural materials when the weather turns cold.”
From 1st December, John Lewis will be open weekdays from 9am until 8pm, Saturdays from 9am until 7pm and Sundays from 11am until 5pm (browsing from 10.30 until 11am). The shop is open on Christmas Eve from 9am until 5pm and closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
