Greenham Common Trust held a presentation in the Corn Exchange today (Wednesday 31st August) for perspective grant givers and seekers about its revolutionary new web portal.
findmeagrant will go live tomorrow, September 1, and is predicted to transform the way individuals, charities and community groups can access grants and donations for projects and services.
The new online system enables applicants to create one application to access multiple grant makers and the general public.
Greenham Common Trust Chief Executive Stuart Tagg led the presentation which received a large audience. A presentation was also given by Greenham Common Trust Communications and Events manager Julian May who was filling in for Nadeem Soomro from Conifer Consulting Ltd, developers of findmeagrant in partnership with Greenham Common Trust, to talk about the technical side.
Julian said “I think the day went very well. I was very impressed with the number of people who turned out today and they asked some very intelligent questions about findmeagrant which launches tomorrow.”
Following the presentations there was a question and answers section where the audience could get a better understanding and also offer they’re feedback. Julian said they welcome any feedback and if you have any queries then contact them at [email protected].
A smaller session is planned at St Barts on the October 1, where people will get another chance to ask their questions. Greenham Common Trust is also proposing fixed date workshops to help people with the application and get to grips with the new technology.
The site www.findmeagrant.org goes live tomorrow (Thursday 1st September).
