Parenting Special Children (PSC) is a Berkshire based charity providing specialist support services to families of children and young people with special needs and disabilities. Set up 15 years ago by Ruth Pearse Founder and CEO, who wanted to ensure that families didn’t feel so alone, and had specialist parenting support, resulting in creating positive change, strengthening and empowering parents. We support over 2100+ families each year.
PSC are running fundraising events linking into their 15th birthday celebrations, and one of these is the: –
Challenge
Could you do a sponsored event of your choice for example bouncing on a trampoline, a 10-mile walk/run, or you could offer to tidy someone’s garden? As part of the challenge let us know how many steps you have done to add to our stepmother and reach the target of 1,500,000.
We are calling out to families, local businesses and schools especially on 18th – 19th June, any donations made in that 48 hours via the Good Exchange will be doubled matched up to £15,000 thanks to the Greenham Trust. We would really love to hit that £5000 so that families across West Berkshire can benefit from one of our planned projects.
The Funding will allow us to:

– Facilitate 4 one to one 1 x hour session to 15 families with a specialist parenting practitioner.
