Media Briefing – Garden Waste Collection Service

You are invited to send a representative to a media briefing on changes to West Berkshire Council’s Garden Waste Collection Service. Journalists will receive an update on an introduction of a charge for the service, the background to the decision, how it will operate and the important information about how residents can subscribe. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about the service. Information provided in the briefing will be shared under embargo until midday on Monday 30 July.

In attendance at the briefing will be:

Councillor Hilary Cole – Executive Member for Waste Services

Mark Edwards – Head of Transport and Countryside

Jackie Ward – Waste Manager

Martin Dunscombe – Communications Manager

The briefing and questions will be off-camera but there will be an opportunity for recorded one-to-one interviews with Councillor Hilary Cole afterwards.
