Welcome to the Halfway Inn it’s Smokin’!

This old coaching inn midway between Bath and London has been a family run business for over eight years now.

The friendly and attentive staff members go out of their way to make customers comfortable, serving traditional English and Polish food.

Customers can eat either inside where there is a good bar, with cosy furniture and eclectic décor around the piano or traditional fireplace. Otherwise there is outdoor dining on the newly spring-cleaned patio with comfortable outdoor dining furniture overlooking the garden. Also in the patio area, two newly arrived smokers have been placed ready to smoke meat, fish and the Halfway’s home-made sausages.

Whilst other pub and restaurant menus seem to becoming more modern, James is concentrating on grilling and smoking but looks back in time to recreate favourites from the past, such as old fashioned brawn, with his own individual twist to produce delicious meals. The food is prepared fresh every day using the highest quality local produce and the wonderful team in the kitchen make everything from scratch. The menus are based around seasonal dishes and specials change regularly depending on what is available. The food is sourced as local as possible and the chefs use suppliers they know and trust. Vegetarian and vegan options are always available and food tolerances catered for.

This family orientated inn has a large car park with dedicated disabled parking.
