Grand opening of Community Rosebeds – Victoria Park

Newbury Town Council has unveiled commemorative signage, to acknowledge the generous contribution made by the sponsors for our community rose beds in Victoria Park, without whom we would not have been able to complete this project.

Cllr Adrian Edwards, Leader of the Council said, “We were so pleased at the amount of people who turned up on the day to help with the planting and are extremely grateful to our sponsors, Tesco’s ‘Bags of Help’, Rivar Sand and Gravel, Volker Highways and Sundog Hire”.

He continued, “Together with the team behind Newbury in Bloom and the Friends of Victoria Park, members of the public really got involved with the planting and I am looking forward to seeing the roses in bloom this summer.”
