On Tuesday 10th April, over forty members of Hampshire Fare gathered at Stansted Park Farm Shop for the local food group’s monthly networking event.
There was an opportunity for producers to offer tastings and information about their products to chefs and buyers at the event as well as chat to other producers.
Fred Duncannon, owner of Stansted Park Farm Shop, hosted the event. “Sourcing the very best local produce for our customers has always been the main priority for us at Stansted Park Farm Shop. It was fantastic to be able to welcome members of Hampshire Fare to the shop to show them what we are doing to sing the praises of the county’s food and drink. We spoke to every producer this evening and feel inspired by the passion behind Hampshire’s food scene, we hope to work with many of the businesses in the future.”
The monthly Hampshire Fare networking events are an opportunity for people involved in local food and farming to connect and catch up on developments. Tracy Nash, Commercial Manager of Hampshire Fare, commented on the success of the evening: “This beautiful farm shop is the result of a clear vision, hard work, determination and loyal supporters. The owners’ commitment to local produce is exemplary and we hope this evening’s producers have provided them with yet more inspiration!”
A hot topic of the evening was the Hampshire Food Festival which takes place 1-31 July across the county. Stansted Farm Shop plans to take part with an exciting dining event, more details to be revealed soon. Visit www.hampshirefare.co.uk for all the latest festival news, events and competitions.
