Double Celebration for Abbotswood Court Care Home

 

Abbotswood Court Care Home in Romsey celebrates second anniversary and ‘Good’ rating from Care Quality Commission following their most recent inspection

 

Abbotswood Court Care Home in Romsey has reason to celebrate.  As they approach their second anniversary, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has found the quality of care provided by the Home to be ‘Good’ overall and ‘Outstanding’ for ‘Responsive’ to meeting people’s needs. This is a real achievement for a new home.

 

 

The CQC inspection asks five key questions: does the Home offer a service that is Safe; Effective; Caring; Responsive; Well-led?  As the main regulator of care-providers up and down the country, the CQC report acts as a crucial industry standard and an essential guide for those choosing care for themselves or their loved ones.

It provides accommodation and individual care for older people with a range of needs including dementia.  It also provides short-stay care for people recovering from illness and operations. An important part of their service is ensuring their clients have opportunities to socialise and take part in a range of fun and stimulating activities.
