The very festive programme of Christmas at Shaw House events has already got off to a flying start with the annual Christmas Fair last Sunday.
In addition to the usual Partridge in a Pear tree, over 1,000 visitors enjoyed sixty stalls showcasing crafters, bakers, artists and photographers all boasting bespoke wares, as well as an amazing live nativity scene from Millers Ark with sheep, chickens, goats and donkeys in the grounds of the House that children brushed and fed, and woodturning demonstrations from Vallis Green Woodworks.
Children’s Christmas Parties also took place during the fair featuring Mr Muddles the charming, but muddlesome magician, who captivated over 100 children on the day with his slapstick magic.
The finale was a special visit from Father Christmas with all children receiving a present!
Next up in the festive programme is a Christmas Wreath Making workshop onTuesday 6 December where people can make their own Christmas door wreath and enjoy a hot drink and mince pie.

Revel in the beautiful sounds as the choir treats you to a variety of Christmas songs, traditional carols, prose and poetry. Adults £6, under 16s £3. Discounts with West Berkshire Card
