Southampton Ladies Circle Recharters After 16 Years

Southampton Ladies Circle has once again become a part of the national Ladies Circle association after 16 years, and is taking the south with a bang. The members, all women aged 18 to 45, celebrated their “rechartering” with a meal and drinks with members of other Circles, some of the National Executive team and they also welcomed along some of the ladies that used to belong to Southampton Ladies Circle. This was the first event of many for the Southampton ladies, as they plan to connect with local charities as well as hold a programme of activities aimed at achieving the three F’s: fun, friendship and fundraising!

“As we set off on our new adventure re-establishing Southampton Ladies Circle, we are excited for the future. Southampton Ladies Circle is all about meeting new people, trying new things and giving back to the community by fundraising for our chosen charity,” said Sallie White, Chair of Southampton Ladies Circle. “This will be a year of firsts, not only for myself but for a lot of other women, too. Our doors are always open to new members and to new ideas being brought to the group. Circle is ideal for women who have moved to the area and want to socialize with new friends and explore the vast range of activities that Southampton has to offer.” Said Tanya Harder, Vice Chair for Southampton Ladies Circle, “You will mainly find us in jeans and T-shirts or volunteering in high-vis tabards, but our national conference is a great excuse to dress up.”
