Maggie’s, the charity which provides free practical, emotional and social support for people with cancer and their family and friends, will benefit from a Pop-Up Restaurant held in aid of the Centre.
The Pop-Up Restaurant is in collaboration with Green’s Catering, a well known and experienced party and event caterer operating in Oxfordshire and the surrounding area. Instead of a bill at the end of the evening, guests will be asked to make a donation to Maggie’s with all proceeds raised will go towards funding our unique programme of support for people affected by cancer. The evening will include three courses, half a bottle of wine per person, coffee or tea and petit fours and will be held on Thursday, March 17th 2016 at 7:30pm.
Claire Marriott, Centre Head at Maggie’s Oxford said: “It is wonderful to hear that the Pop-Up Restaurant is once again going to be held in aid of the Centre and I hope the community really gets behind the event. It was one of the most popular events of last year raising over £1,800 for people affected by cancer in the local area”.
“As a charity the Maggie’s Oxford Centre relies on donations and fundraising events such as the Pop-Up Restaurant, which allows us to continue to develop our unique, high quality programme of support, offering the best support possible to people with cancer as well as their family and friends.
“I would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and I know everyone at Maggie’s greatly appreciates their efforts.”
“We at Greens Catering are delighted to be supporting Maggie’s Pop-Up restaurant again after the success of last year’s event. The work that Maggie’s do is invaluable to the community and we hope that people will support the event not only to raise money for the centre but also to have a great night!”
