I’m writing to invite you to join us for Bart’s Bash on the 21st on September this year. On this day we will be celebrating the life of one of this country’s greatest sailors – Andrew Simpson. On the 21st September we would like you, and all those you can spread the word to, to join us for what promises to be the greatest race ever. By taking part you will be involved in a Guinness Word Record attempt, contributing to our charity, Berkshire Sail Training, and the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation.
Our vision is to have four packed races over the course of the day, with all of our boats on the water, filled with those who are intrigued by the sport as well as those who are already passionate. We have already got the boats ready, the organisation is nearly there, but we need you and those you know to join us to make this day as successful as we know it can be.
Whether you are an experienced racer or have never sailed before, there is something we can offer you. We will be having 2 novice races over the course of the day, the first race starting at 1000 and the second at 1300, where instructors will be on hand to sail with you around the course, should you need the assistance.
For those of you who are rather more experienced we are happy for you to sail in the more advanced races, taking place at 1100 and 1400. You can use our boats if needed, and we will be happy to help you in any way we can.
For further information, please contact us on 0118 930 3467,
email [email protected] , find us on Facebook or through http://www.bartsbash.co.uk/club/berkshire-sail-training
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
